Rural & Farm Enterprise Investment & Support
Wisconsin Farmers Union is continually looking for ways to support our family farmers and vibrant rural communities. True to our cooperative roots, we work with our members to invest in the future of rural Wisconsin through cooperative endeavors.
Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative
The Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative (WFHC) is a farmer- and grower-led cooperative owned by the producers, the community, and the Wisconsin Farmers Union.
The WFHC is dedicated to securing the most profitable markets for our producer-members. The hub makes it easy for the retail, institutional, and foodservice sectors to source fresh produce, minimally processed produce and specialty products. Visit for more information.
Fifth Season Cooperative
Wisconsin Farmers Union made an investment in Class A stock in the new Fifth Season Cooperative and arranged a grant from the FUI Foundation to support the Westby Food Enterprise Center.
Fifth Season is a unique, multi-stakeholder cooperative that is linking producers with major local institutional purchasers in the area, including UW-La Crosse and Gunderson Lutheran Health System. The co-op now includes Reinhart Foods as a distributor partner.
