Youth Activities

The Wisconsin Farmers Union youth program is aimed at developing young leaders for our organization and our country. Since 1930, summer camps and educational programs for young people have taught about the importance of agriculture, leadership skills, cooperation, activism, and good citizenship.

In addition to programs in the schools and other special events for youth from the general public, the year-round Wisconsin Farmers Union Youth Program provides special opportunities for Wisconsin Farmers Union member youth.

In addition to youth meetings, youth groups are eligible to participate in day camps and outings, Farmers Union Camp at Kamp Kenwood, and Co-op Youth Convention. Awards and award trips such as the National Farmers Union All-States Leadership Camp in Bailey, Colorado, and the Torchbearer Award are also available for youth participants.
