WFU hires Billen to be Lobby Day Intern

Wisconsin Farmers Union has hired Camryn Billen to serve as the intern for our upcoming Farm & Rural Lobby Day, happening February 27th in Madison, WI.

Camryn grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and has been involved in the Wisconsin Farmers Union since she was 14. She quickly moved from attending Kamp Kenwood to staffing it. Camryn has served on the Senior Youth Advisory Council and was recently elected to the National Youth Advisory Council, where she works with people from all across the United States in educating the Farmers Union Youth.

Last year, Camryn attended the National Fly-In. This year, she is excited to plan the Farm and Rural Lobby Day! While her interests in school have never been policy-driven, her involvement with the Farmers Union, from grassroot to federal levels, has led her to develop a strong appreciation for member-driven policy implementation. Camryn believes that all members of the Farmers Union should strive to understand and engage in policy implementation and development processes, and is looking forward to working closely with legislators and members in this year’s Lobby Day. She plans to use the knowledge and skills developed both at school and from the Farmers Union to support and expand existing communities in her future endeavors.

WFU members can register for Farm & Rural Lobby Day here.
