Education for farmers, consumers and rural communities is the foundation of what we focus on.  We also, create passionate representation to elected officials through policy development.  With a look to the future, using cooperative development principles, we host events that expose youth to the possibilities of family agriculture in Wisconsin.

Collectively, we advocate for rural communities and the family farm.

  1. Create local on-farm events for farmers and consumersthat show farmers’ use of best practices that encourage soil restoration, water quality and erosion abatement.

  2. We are leading the industry discussion for policy to balance dairy supply and demandwith our Dairy Together initiative.

  3. Organize members to participate in civic engagementthrough our annual Farm & Rural Lobby Day, National Fly-in to Washington, D.C., and testimony at state hearings.

  4. Through the Farmers Union Camp program youth participate in enrichment programsaround leadership development, cooperative career exploration and civic engagement.  Many programs take place at our WFU Kamp Kenwood in Chippewa Falls.
