Overnight Camps

In the 1940s, Wisconsin Farmers Union members and their co-ops donated funds and labor to build WFU Kamp Kenwood. The 23-acre camp features a sandy beach, rustic cabins, and the historic lodge built all those years ago.

Located along beautiful Lake Wissota near Chippewa Falls, our affordable camps draw hundreds of youth from throughout the Midwest each year.

We stay busy with games and outdoor activities that not only bring the fun, but also teach life-long lessons about sustainability, leadership, agriculture, and so much more!

There will be plenty of time for adventures in nature! Campers enjoy kayaking, hiking, campfires, and outdoor games.

One of the best parts of camp is getting to know other kiddos from around the state! Many campers make lasting friendships during their stay.

co-op education

Cooperative values are at the heart of Farmers Union. Campers learn about the co-op model and even organize their own co-op store.

Co-ops (front and center!)

Campers learn cooperation by experiencing it — sharing responsibilities, making group decisions, running a cooperative camp store together, and seeing how working together makes everything better.

Conservation & Care for the Land

Campers explore nature, learn to care for shared spaces, and build habits that respect the outdoors.

Civic Engagement & Community

We practice using our voices, fairness, and responsibility through group games, camp traditions, and problem-solving together.

Food Systems & Local Food

We connect food to land, farmers, and community — often through hands-on, farmer-led activities, shared meals, and curiosity about where food comes from.

What We Explore at Camp

2026 Overnight Camp Dates

We offer several camps options with varying age ranges - choose the one that fits your calendar and camper best!

PINECONE CAMP: July 8 - 9 ~ 1 day, 1 night camp for ages 8-11. Great for campers who aren’t ready for a full camp session. ($120)

JUNIOR CAMP 1: July 12 - 15 ~ 4 day, 3 night camps for ages 8-13 and/or completed grades 3-8. ($170)

JUNIOR CAMP 2: July 19 - 22 ~ 4 day, 3 night camps for ages 8-13 and/or completed grades 3-8. ($170)

JUNIOR HIGH CAMP: July 26 - 29 ~ 4 day, 3 night camps for ages 11 -13 and/or completed grades 5-8. ($170)

SENIOR CAMP: August 2 - 6 ~ 5 day, 4 night camps for ages 14-17 and/or completed grades 8-12. ($190)

SENIOR CO-OP TRIP: August 6 - 7 ~ 2 days, 1 night: Day trip to a local city (within 3 hours) exploring different types of co-ops and visiting favorite tourist destinations followed by an extra night at camp for ages 14 - 17 and / or completed grades 8 - 12. ($90) *Free to youth program second year award recipients.

For Junior, Junior High, and Senior Camps, plan to arrive at camp for registration between 1 - 1:30 pm on the first day and pick up campers between 11 - 11:30 am on the final day. For Pinecone Camp, plan to arrive at camp for registration between 9 - 9:30 am on the first day and pick up campers between 2 - 2:30 pm on the final day. All overnight camps are held at Kamp Kenwood in Chippewa Falls.

First half of camp fee and current WFU membership ($30 per immediate family) required to finalize registration; remainder to be paid prior to camp. $30 WFU family membership is non-refundable.
