IN SERVICE OF OUR MEMBERS AND THE LAND
On Monday, April 14, Wisconsin Farmers Union received notice that the Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities (PCSC) Program had been canceled by the United States Department of Agriculture. Wisconsin Farmers Union, Pheasants Forever, and Outagamie County were subawardees on a 5 year, $5 million PCSC grant in Northeast Wisconsin, led by the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance.
The cancelation of the PSCS Program is a devastating loss for Northeast Wisconsin farmers and ends two years of dedicated conservation support in the region.

Wisconsin Farmers Union is working to identify next steps for farmers affected by this cancelation.

WISCONSIN FARMERS UNION'S CONSERVATION ETHIC
What we believe:

WFU members are highly invested in responsible stewardship of our land and natural resources. Throughout our policy, you will see our commitment to ethical and just sharing of resources.
Wisconsin Farmers Union recognizes and respects that nature is a living ecosystem with inherent rights that should be protected by law. The value of the natural world does not derive only from its usefulness or economic benefit and not just as a “resource” that can be owned, used, and even destroyed.
