CHAPTER Resources

Local Initiative Grants

WFU county/local units may apply for a Local Initiative Grant. We encourage applicants to use this form to provide information about their proposal. Applications that do not use this form are limited to three pages in length. A typical grant amount is between $300-$600.  We do approve larger grants, but please note that any request over $1,000 is subject to WFU Board approval, and consideration of the request will take longer. The grants committee reserves the right to approve an application at a reduced funding level, especially in the case of larger requests.

Financial Statements

To be filled out by county, county-local, or local F.U. Treasurer for the purpose of inclusion into Wisconsin Farmers Union’s audit reporting.

WFU Foundation Grants

The WFU Foundation maintains a modest Small Grant Program to provide support to a variety of farm and rural organizations and projects. Grant amounts are generally under $2,000 and are typically between $200 to $500.

Check out our Foundation page for examples of funded projects

Member Benefits

When you join WFU you benefit from a variety of member services and discounts. If you’re not already member, you can join today for just $30 per year. That’s only $0.58 a week to support family farmers, expand sustainable agriculture and ensure the next generation of farmers will be there to grow the food, fuel and fiber we all depend on.
